Taking inspiration to timelapse our cafeteria 30/365

Our how we express ourselves unit has given my class some powerful inspirations to create their own art. Louie Schwartzberg‘s Ted Talk about nature and gratitude, had the children not only exploring hidden beauty around the school.

The children were fascinated with timelapse but the time to capture anything was rather short. I challenged the class to think of somewhere that has a lot of change in a short period of time, they immediately thought of our school cafeteria at lunchtime. The kids set their iPads up to capture the lunch time scene which I edited for them.

Takeaways,

It would be interesting to see more of the behind scenes of what goes into lunch service as there clearly a lot of people that help make our lunch a success that the children wouldn’t otherwise take time to notice.

Our teachers are up and moving around checking in on kids all the time.

It would have been good to see how much food is left behind for the cleaners to clean.
