Finishing slowly

Often the end of school is a rush.

A rush to cover content, to finish tasks, to go to events, to send the kids off.

This term my class finished slowly.

A simple sharing and reflection of their learning during this current Unit of Inquiry and then continuing our read aloud, Wonder, to finish out the year before we said our goodbyes.

Instead of crazy energy and stress, it was nice to keep things calm for both the kids and me.
