2015 in review – top 3 books that have influenced my thinking

IMG_1098 (2)Future Wise: Educating Our Children for a Changing World – Once I finished reading this book I immediately gave it to my principal to read. ‘Is this worth learning?’is a question we should ask of ourselves daily in the course of planning learning engagements.

Choice Words: How Our Language Affects Children’s Learning A must-read for any educator, particularly inquiry teachers.  It’s not what we do as teachers but what we say and how we say it that influences children’s learning.

Whatever you think – think the opposite – not an education book but a book on life. Or more specifically that life advice we give out in schools. This book helped me understand that we need to be more agile in our thinking – particularly in schools where we have systems to do our thinking for us.
