As part of the edsketch series, I’ve been working on developing my sketching skills. As part of getting in my drawing time in, I’ve been sketching works alongside the children. Taking time after a read aloud sketch my thinking and sharing it with the kids.
A couple of things:
A lack of time can both kill and encourage creativity.
We are almost never done, there’s always room for improvement.
It’s good for the children to see an adult struggle.
