“I think skitch would be best… You can add arrows and words”

“How about path on.. It looks better…”

My Year 4s are at the point where they are deciding their own tools for capturing their learning. They are becoming sophisticated in their choices, understanding there will be more than one tool for the same job. They can justify choices based on a particular need or outcome.

The kids have learned a lot of new tools, but now I need to take a step back and let the kids make decisions about  how they learn best.

There is little point teaching kids the tools without stepping back to put that learning into action.
